Do you have to get rid of all the pipes as well? If not how about a large adaptable box where the db presently is with klippon connectors on din rail to extend cables then trunking to new db position.

Why not strip out the internals of the db and use it as a jb for your crimps, then mount your new one below it.
Then you dont have to mess around with the endless amount of conduits

yes the whole board needs moving along with the conduits down the wall. As the power can only be off for a hour im thinking of some how rigging up a temp db then exploring my options further or just RUN while I can

It's not so bad, just get all new stuff set up on the other wall with a temporary supply.

1 by 1 transfer the circuits. Then when done, diss the supply and re-route/connect existing supply or cable the temp supply appropriately if it will become the new perm supply.

Its a job for another contractor. Another problem is the power to each circuit can only go off for approx a hour as its a old peoples home. Its a living nightmare

Tell them in plain and simple english...F*** OFF, and then add that the electricians forums are acting as your 'heavys' if he dares retaliate.

Regardless whether it being old-peoples property or not, the contractor will have to put them up somewhere - just because of the circumstances IMO doesn't mean you should cut corners and half arse a job as messy as that. Tell them to clear whoever it is out for the fullday, take them for a day out or something lol. Get as much done in the day, even if its just the basics and energise that bit. If not, like said, run.

We're electricians not magicians.
