Call out by landlord to house, down stairs bedroom light pendants damaged:

Pendants replaced however no live at roses or switch

Lighting circuit:

1Gang 2 way dimmer: 1 cable 1mm T&E

2 Ceiling roses : 1 cable 1mm T&E at each rose

Continuity of Neutrals to both roses ok

Continuity of switch wire to both roses ok

Wiring method: joint box / choc box

Above the bedroom is a bathroom

The T&E has been plastered in!

What would you do to get a supply to the switch with out lifting up the bathroom floor,

I would not be running a new live to the switch I would want to find the fault and trace the joint box or where ever the supply to the switch comes from IMO!

I am affraid you will have to knock a hole or two in the ceiling to locate the fault.

Blue to Bits make a good comment re this.

Best of luck!
