You can get earth clamps similar to these only a little more heavy duty and larger. Run the earth straight through it and strip a piece out where it clamps, will do a 50mm easy.No code for me.
I'd like to see how anyone could loop a 35/50mm between services.

If it's just been installed, one end of the cable wants shoving somewhere it will hurt and make them remember next time.
