if less than a year old there is legal implications on the installer , even if he has did a runner, one possibility may be the tightness of connections, may be a big job but personally take all switches and sockets off make sure tight etc, as if your doing the inspection and give pass certificate for work done you could leave yourself liable for things

congrats.... believe me this forum is top. for me and you (new to the trade) they really help out. a college course teaches you the rules and basics. but when you start to do the work....and find other peoples work some bad then thats when you start to learn the trade (like i found a 9KW shower fed from a spur on the 32A ring). and the guys on here with there experience and knowledge really help out.

on here they are really helpful top guys!
