First large domestic rewire for me
[ElectriciansForums.net] Not sure what to think
on my own, all going well and completed my dead testing on completed circuits a week ago. Tackers arriving tomorrow so thought I'd test again today and came accross this - see picture ! can't help thinking it's malicious

I spent 2 hours this morning locating cables above ceilings which the plasterers had agreed they would leave "sticking through" the ceiling then 2 sockets in different rooms which they had completed plastered over ..................

pxsses me right off - just such a waste of my time I can't charge for.

Not wanting to sound pessimistic but if malicious could there be any more instances of sabotage?
How have you got on with the other parties on site?[/QUOT]
It's the Owner's call, but if attention is drawn to it right now the payback may keep on. On a different tack - I have had sabotage before and nowadays I feel if there is a doubt, then there is no doubt. I'd terminate all work.

Get set for an IR test, ask the builder to remove his screw and hit the --- just as he makes contact...

Report a criminal damage. Seize the screw forensically. Submit for DNA analysis and take elimination samples from all persons who had access. Interview all persons on site and establish if anyone has been using that size screw for any legit fixings at that time. ;) Pigs may also fly!

I have a feeling I may be on here next week moaning about the same issue. Any cable I want pulling through ceiling / wall I've marked with red tape - can't make it much easier than that
