Evening all!

Just starting my portfolio..

When writing the site diary how much do you have to write & what kind of stuff do you have to write?

For example i got pictures of install Cable tray today.. What would i write & so on??

Cheers in advance

Luke

Why are there so many people doing NVQ's without the correct information and guidance? I have 63 people doing NVQ's and i meet them every month, these quals cant be done if it isnt explained what you need to do.

Cheers............Howard

XS were canny, For the key criticals they just asked for a picture of that said task with a description.

If your stuck give them a call, I found them spot on. Also had all the guides sent over to me prior

He will guide you through it on the induction call last about an hour or more basicallya s long as you want as your phonng and paying
They are spot on
for the POS for each unit you basically get evidence ie pics , manufactuers info etc and then do a write up for each PO ( personal objective ) I think its basically an explanantion of exactly whay you did including correct terminology etc
if your still stuck after induction PM me and I will see what i can do but Xs are sound you can contact your assessor through the one file system PMs or via telephone
I mainly sent PMs and they were responded to promptly at all hours of day and night manly did mine at night

Its a lng process but for every job you do get pics of you doing it and thats your evidence Ie handing technical and functional information to the client , customer or other contractor pic of you and him with relevent documets
ppics of you placing safety signs warning signs , carrying out safe islolation , Inspecting testing etc
measuring marking cutting , conduit , trunking or trray , basket etc ie 3 containments systems over the whole of the NVQ
once you have covered it thats a bit done so if you installeld trunking and conduit in 1 job you ahve covered 2 or the required 3 containment systems

good luck mate post and let us know how ya getting on or if you need some help

lets hope u can finish nvq 3 with the work u do, because I think the local college check that you can cover the jobs and interview in person and gives you a pack,

I need my induction with them which im doing thursday, just wanted to know so i could start writing some up now!

Luke

My advice buddy is wait till Thursday till you properly start. All credit to you for wanting to get abit done 'early though' but the NVQ is a long long slog. You say your induction is Thursday, so whether that be tomorrow or next thursday take this last day/week as abit of rest from the day job - like i said the NVQ is hard work, so hit the ground running after your induction/assessment and good luck throughout the process.

Mark.
