So, who signed up for the NVQ3 before it all changes?
XS training hopefully got me signed up on time.... They tried on the 31st but the C&G site was having problems, so fingers crossed they acknowledge the email sent and sign me up for the old course.

I had an email off XS stating that they tried to put mine through but C&G website was having probs, so XS emailed C&G on the 31st explaining the difficulties they where having registering me, so I fingers crossed it will be ok.

The one file system is spot on and so easy to use, Went with delta training which I have been told is pretty much the same process as XS

There was me thinking I left it until the last minute - I signed up with Delta last month.

i see the difference in college and the non college ones (but i could be wrong)

college check that you can finish the nvq 3 with what you do in electical world and interveiw you before you pay anything

I found my local college were needlessly obstructive - I could have done most of the NVQ3 when I was doing agency work in my 3rd year at college but they wouldn't let me because I wasn't on the cards and hadn't finished my technical certificate. They charge you every year as well, whereas with Delta you pay once and you've got 3 years to get it all done.

Whats the telephone induction all about? anyone been through it?

I did mine with Delta. It's very informal - you phone your assessor (or they phone you) and go through how to complete the online assessments.
I think my assessor was sitting at home watching telly when I called him.

I've also done the same as you , had the same email , just awaiting response also, hope it all works out, so i can get my qual, as said above college just didn't want to know unless i can do day release and this just isn't an option for me in my position .

so your not the only one who left till last minute lol.
