I've been testing some flats that have immersion heaters, 2 supplies - daytime and off peak. The off peak supply is wired from the meter through a contactor then back into the mcb, with the outgoing supply to the immersion heater coming from the contactor. However, when the mcb is isolated, the outgoing side of the mcb is still live from the contactor feed. I've not seen them wired like this before, just doesn't seem right. Anyone care to shed some light on this, or am I just being dumb :confused5:
