It is strange though how the BBC followed this Romanian to the UK, how did they know he was coming here? why did they devote a whole program to him and why did he say the things he said? Why did they spend thousands of licence payers money following him from Romania to the UK, who told them about him? is it real? I believe the tories are behind it.

They're still a single issue party, their solution to everything is to pull out of the EU. I'd rather not risk 4 million jobs thanks very much.
Now, before you play the "other countries are not members and manage to trade successfully with it" card. There is still a mountain of EU legislation that their companies have to comply with to enable them to have that trade so the cost to business is still there.
I'd rather be inside the tent ****ing out than outside it trying to **** in.

ok slight issue with your response ... how can we reform the EU or reclaim powers when we no longer have the power to do so ... please also reference with factual data your 4million figure and while in the EU we gave so many limitations on trading outside the EU ... yes many job loses if we leave but also many created ...you cant change your lifestyle without losing some mates but youll always get new ones and they most likely treat you better ... just saying

We can't reform the EU with the liar we have in charge at present.
The 4 million figure comes from the amount of companies that say they'll pull out of the UK if we leave it. X amount of primary jobs (those directly employed by the companies, y amount of secondary jobs (those employed in the supply chain, usually a ratio of 4:1) Z amount of tertiary jobs (those jobs which are dependent on the spending power of those in the primary and secondary jobs)
Please explain where we are going to get 4 million jobs from when we can't find work for the 2.5 million currently unemployed

immigration is good for the country... uncontrolled immigration is not our services are buckling and schools now need to find 300000 extra places that dont exist ... while brussels sorry germany make our rules it can only get worse and the main parties no matter what they spin cannot change it while been EU members ... think about it we are an isolated country now on the EU table any thing we try to get has to be agreed by every other country ... it aint going to happen ever ... been a member of the EU has certain benefits but they are so outweighed by its negatives over the last 5 yrs we have lost our powers of debate over the table to .... must be nice living somewhere not been flooded and ruined by immigrants mostly jobless and blocking up the nhs, schools and claiming and sending all there cash out of the country... wait till it catches you up

And you think lite weight Milliband will do any better?

The EU is controlled by the Germans and the French for the Germans and the French - the UK is simply a big net contributor paying for socialism across the EU.

The problem with democracy in general is that politicians need to be re-elected every few years.

Unpopular policies that are actually good for the country don't get anywhere because the general populace, myself included, doesn't have the knowledge and understanding to accept it.

If big businesses and SME's had held a workers election every 4 years they would soon go ---- up.

As it happens I like democracy, but it does have some down sides.

The problems in this Country are down to thatcher, we had the same industry as Germany and the same infrastructure before she got her hands on the country, they thrived and are the 3rd richest country in the world, they export everything everywhere, we have and own nothing, Blair had nothing to do with that, he had to modernise Britain after 20 years of Tory rule and no public spending at all by the Conservative party, we had nothing after thatcher, nothing, how is Blair to blame for that then??

We did have the same industry the problem was with the exception of the upmarket vehicle manufacturers we couldn't build cars with any decent quality in the uk that didn't fall apart, Scargill decided to wage war against the government and failed, we had a lot of industry burdened by overbearing unionism that was destined to fail and that is really Thatchers fault in 79 when she was elected this country was on it's backside

I would recommend you report them to the authorities then, they are breaking the law by letting you a member of the public know confidentional information, who are these job centre staff, can you prove they told you this and can you name them so I can report them for this appalling breach of trust of personal information.

I doubt a wide ranging comment like that would fall within the data protection act as no names or personal details were mentioned

I've claimed dole in the past mate and I can assure you that the things you see on TV are myths. There's no one getting £30k for sitting on their arse

How very dare they speak to each other in their mother tongue! Tell me, have you ever worked in another country? If yes did you bother to learn the language? Out of courtesy to the natives did you always make sure you never spoke to one of your colleagues in anything but the language of the country you were in?

Having worked in Albania all they wanted to do was converse in English so they could improve I did learn a little of the language but wasn't there long enough. And having worked in Wales for a while all I learnt was to recognise when they were slagging us off

Sorry to come in so late but there have been other programmes about illegal immigrants ,shop lifters druggies etc
I don't think the programmes are set up myself but if the tv can get them why can't the police find them

I worked for a German company in Ford's Dagenham . You started at 8 and by that I mean you were at your work station tools in hand 8 you were working. 2x15 minute breaks 30 minutes for dinner
In the afternoon 15 minute break a trolley would come round to buy food etc, but the queue it could take 10/15 minutes to get served.So the German firm has a vote about working through this afternoon break :we all voted yes cos we would leave 15 minutes earlier , but no you still worked so now we are working an extra 15 minutes and at the end of the day you worked till your time till the time not like a lot of British firms

Trevor people can get 30k on benefits !don't forget everything is paid rent prescriptions child benefit it all adds up and if you have 3 or 4 children ( by different dads helps )
In my younger day I went out with a woman who was the under manager of a benefits office in east London and the stories I was told them were shocking really
