I would say that the Elkay PIR switch is basically the exact same thing as the wiring diagrams everyone has submitted and so would be more than up to the task. They have an internal relay to switch the load etc. cheers.

The instruction manual if it helps.

so your saying that no these wouldn't do the job?!? just thought they'd do for a makeshift while all the other bits come as I can pick one up at screwfix tomorrow if need be, and yeah I had read somewhere heater have a surge on startup, and if you want to spend alot of money you can buy soft start switches with in-built pir/timer

not saying that at all mate, the pennywise option seems to tick all the boxes, was just saying 'food for thought', worth considering that's all. if it seems to be playing up in a few months time that could be a reason why :) if it lasts for 20 years you know the device was up to the job :D

UKSEL lol I guess here's hoping then

PENNYWISE cool, so your saying the switch is the same as all the complicated wiring....without all the complicated wiring lol sounds like a winner to me, might just go with....on/off switch--->elkay pir--->2g switch---->heaters....simple lol hows that sounding to you peeps :)
