Hi I have been asked to wire up an outside light for some one I am not sure If i can wire it up to a light switch do they can have it on when they want if so what cable and if it has to be connected to an rcd
Any advice would be appreciated cheers

I thought these forums were ment to help and advise people that need it clearly I as wrong again bunch of ****s

Sorry you have had a rough experience. This site IS NOT for step by step instructions. Even if I gave you them you could, for example, leave a terminal loose and burn the house down, as I have given the instructions I could get sued.
You want advice... read the manufacturers instructions. If you still dont know you need to get an electrician in.

As Kate says and even if you manage to get your light up and running are you confident enough to test the circuit after to ensure it's safe mate ??
Sorry if i seemed out of order but it is just my banter. No offence intended
