610.4 is a verification. the cable is of correct size, socket is switched and not inter connected. Still doesn't say I have to issue a MWC or EIC. Although this would help to verify the circuit. Still says may be issued, not must or should.

Mate you are making this hard read on down to 610.6 where it says "On the completion of the verification, according to regulations 610.1 to 610.5 a certificate shall be prepared."

bear in mind thar the regs. we work to are the brb, BS7671. if elecsa want to say different, it's a free country, but i know who i believe. btw, is the 17th amendment going to be formatted in testaments?

Sorry mate, I dont mean to be hard work, Ive been doing my 2391 and everything is so precise, this reg says shall be prepared. Saying all this the BS7671 is not law, and there are always people shoving in spurs and all sorts without the knowledge or equipment to test.

At the end of the day what is the big deal about filling out a MWC.
You have asked a question that has been answered if you don't want to certify your work that makes you as bad as the people you describe in your previous post.

Aye I didn't say I dont want to certify my work, I just found that there wasn't any call to issue a cert legally, I think there should, NO NEED TO BE RUDE ABOUT IT.

He was not being rude, just straight talking. as Benny Hill would have said " You no rissen"

Ok the 17th is not statuary but the Construction reg 2007 is. Look at reg 20, sub section e of the design and management.

Electrical installation certificates, minor electrical works and periodic inspection reports would constitute relevant information in relation to this requirement.
