Got the long awaited pass so well chuffed, to be honest i did revise which obviously helps, past papers etc. I must admit the paper was a bit strange with a lot of the scenario in section B completely irrelevant and the ring test sequence made me think a little. I thought the r1+r2 test for the garage had a little twist, i removed the earth in the db at the garage to avoid potential parallell earths. Anybody looking for advice would be read GN3 back to front and buy the exam success by c&g and dont take it for granted, my training course was shi*e and i got a good cd of ebay with loads of past papers although 16th edition. What helped me was writing important notes instead of just reading the notes, for example the types of earthing conductors, the sequence of tests, etc. Sounds obvious but it imprints it in your head. I did the same with my HNC, wrote the notes in rough and then rewrote it again, which really sank in. It will cost you a few hours but you will benefit. Anyway good luck and well done to all. Back to my beer

Back to the well deserved beer(s), well done!

Just found out today that I have passed the 2391 fromOctober, apparently my certificate has been damaged so I may have to request areplacement, but I'm chuffed I passed.
Secrets of my success:-
Lots of reading GN3 - cover to cover and a brilliant training centre.

Thanks Delta Electrical Training Courses & Electrical Courses | Electrician Course from Delta Electrical Training

The main advice I would offer is to learn to word all youranswers in City & Guilds speak, get your upper & lower case abbreviationsright kA, A, mA etc.
Bullet point lists are the quickest & best way to answertest sequence questions.
Get the correct names of the test instruments drummed in i.e.:it’s not a Megger or an Insulation Resistance Meter; it’s an InsulationResistance Tester.

Read the question then read the question then read the question then be sure you understand what is being asked for because City & Guilds speak ain't the easiest to understand! i.e. don't put "seek permission to disconnect" if the scenario question states its an initial verification of a newly installed circuit!

Well done to all that passed & good luck to all those that will be sitting/resitting their 2391 soon.
