passed 2391 practical today, no sweat but did use up all my time and enjoyed it..

looking at testing my immersion heater to see if is fully functional

it says its a 3kw @ 230v = 13A, in turn = a resistance of roughly 18 ohms.

with me having it on at present, do i need to let it cool down???? cheers Tb Electrical :bigear:

Well done on the pass, when is your theory exam?
Why are you testing the immersion would be my first thought?
If it's for something to do with your shiny new qual go for a beer mate

How do you think your theory went? My first stab at it I wasn't sure that I'd done enough and that thought came true. I failed it because I underestimated it and didn't do enough work. Second time around different matter entirely, I had my wife and kids asking me questions for weeks beforehand

Congrats and well done when I did mine for the second time I enrolled for the next exam as I expected to fail. On my way to take the exam for the third time the tutor phoned me and informed me not to come for the exam as I had passed the previous one.....How happy was I :clap::clap:......If you phone City and Guilds and ask if you can do this expect a long winded and answer that will not answer you original question
