passed 2391 practical today, no sweat but did use up all my time and enjoyed it..

looking at testing my immersion heater to see if is fully functional

it says its a 3kw @ 230v = 13A, in turn = a resistance of roughly 18 ohms.

with me having it on at present, do i need to let it cool down???? cheers Tb Electrical :bigear:

Well done, i was shaking like hell when I took mine, well it was -3 outside a few years ago when I took it, snow on the ground that had turned to ice, and the heating was not working in the glorified garage that I had to do it in.

As for the theory, I studied like made first time, was confident about it and I failed. Second time round, no last minute revision for the 2 weeks before as I was busy as hell, entered it straight from work and quite tired, thought I was to fail for sure, but passed, I am so sure they must have mixed my paper up.

CONGRATULATIONS MATE

well done its a great feeling eh mate
now to wait and wait and wait for the results of your written think you will be ok from all the posts i have read of yours

GOOD LUCK MATE

Well done mate , the effort paid off, taking the full time is fine, taking over time is not!
Hope you have good results from your written, you sounded confident about it and you have put in the effort to understand.

Allow the Immersion to cool down so you do not get burned! The resistance will not change dramatically when hot as opposed to finding a fault on it.

still have 301, 302, and 303 to do in next few weeks. but ask me a question and il know it, but ask me how to apply it in practical terms and il fall like bag a spuds .. all in good time it will blend together... with a bit of help from you lovely bunch of encouraging conduit monkeys ... (that's what plumbers call you)

as for 2391 written , im going to resit next exam for the sake of £25 even tho il get my results before i sit it. around same time. cheeers cheers cheers, no sweat
