please help lighting problem

Hi there,

im wondering if anyone can help me. im a qualified electrican but have never come across this problem. basically in a church there 6 flood lights inside on each wall left and right side. the whole right side is not working as it should. one light comes but then the next light seems to come on but not at full brightness, like theres a voltage problem. then when i flick the switch one light goes off and the other comes on but they should be on together. theres 3 switches 2 lights per switch, but its like the whole configuration doesnt work and they dont all come on or stay on....

please help???

yea checked connections weird thing is theres power in all of the flood lights, is there such thing as a voltage problem? i just dont get how they come on but not fully and also not with the correct switches

I'd suspect a poor connection or worn out switch.

Are the lighting fittings the original? or have they been replaced by larger ones recently? by larger I mean are they a larger wattage?

Don't know about the switches. But the other problem could be with a neutral connection.

they are 400w flood lights so theres 6 and 3 switches but even the configuration seems messaged up, the first one comes on but when the second switch it pressed it goes off and the second comes on but its really dim barely on at all....

Sounds like a duff neutral connection, but I 'm shooting in the dark, what tests have you carried out? connections checked OK?

they all work but not how they should or at the correct times when the switches are pressed

checked all the connections but going back to do a continuity test, is there such thing as a voltage problem? because there being a loose neutral?
