I have been selected to take part in an online forum by the IET about the state of the industry. If you have anything you wish to raise then please detail them in BULLET FORM. I will then raise these in the forum on Wednesday evening.

Please no long narrative rants, just succinct bullet points.

Thanks, and lets hope this can change things!

Why is part-P part of PEE?

What actions are going to be taken to improve the lot of the qualified Electrician?

Especially as the DIY electricians get away with stealing our work and we end up sitting at home.

Why have we had to spend much money on college courses, and give Money to the scam runners and years at college, and then some rogue trader in conjunction with un-informed Joe Public can make us sit at home?

Who's fault is it? The gov, scam runners or the our own?

can you distill these opinions into succinct points rather than questions. Keep it clear and concise so I can take notes.

thanks

Your getting paid ÂŁ50!!! SCAM for getting my opinions free of charge lol.

Fill your boots lads, its a good opportunity to have our say.

Bullet point:- Can we have a clear, decisive and definitive description of the title "qualified electrician".

why isnt part p just for the 5wwders and newly qualified and other trades who mess with electrics, why have the qualified experience sparkys who do works correctly got to fund the scams

one of the main points i will be raising sedgy. I think this is close to all the hearts of people who have either trained under an apprenticeship or subsequently trained to the same standards off their own back only to be asked to 'prove their competency' by SCAMS.

Thanks. this point WILL be raised!

so are we all in favour of a 'registered electricians scheme then?

on an equal footing with gas-safe?

What do those guys pay? and how often? What professional back-up do they get?

It seems to me that we need to align ourselves with the gas industry for fair treatment and public acknowledgment?

Your thoughts please.
