Hi all

i had a customer asking today if you can put Pop-Up sockets in the ceiling as they don't want them in their new granite worktop (Island so no walls)

Thanks in advanced

Now think about how impractical they would be.

How high is the ceiling?
How long are the flexes on the kitchen appliances?
How far down would they have to come?
How high is the void into which they would be fitted?
How would they put them up and down?

Now think about how impractical they would be.

How high is the ceiling? 2m high at the install point
How long are the flexes on the kitchen appliances? Only 1m above worktop
How far down would they have to come? Around 6"
How high is the void into which they would be fitted? About 8". This is a lowered ceiling with a lighting effect
How would they put them up and down?
. Push them up and down

Yes I thought it was a mad idea but I promised them I would find out

Well now i've heard it all!!

Amazes me just how ridiculous some people can be. Spend £1000's on design and expensive materials only to find they can't use what they have installed because they don't want to spoil the finish with those pesky electrical outlets...

Just imagine it, lovely new kitchen, granite worktops, island in the middle of the room....nice. Then put this in the ceiling?
