Am discussing a Domestic CU Upgrade & wondered what preference people went for? Always used Crabtree Starbreaker...
Cheers

I usually try to use MK.

Easy to install, and easy to obtain, so my suppliers have to sell them at cheap cheap rates.

Plus I find them reliable, and clean. I have had a faulty MCB now and then, but I use a simple continuity tester when I pick them up to verify they are ok.

MK because you don`t have to carry loads of different busbars like the crabtree, and I`m still not too sure of push in MCBs (and yes I know they`ve been using them for 15 years!!)

I now only fit Crabtree or Wylex. I have tried MK but don't really rate them for the price.

Don't see why you need to carry different Bus Bars if you pick the correct board for the install.

Hager boards are also good. Wholesaler near us do a dual rcd 8/8 for ÂŁ39.00 or a 6/6 for ÂŁ42.00 and mcb's at ÂŁ1.90

All the chint/cpn/cudis is not worth fitting tried some of them. Would not really use again.

I used to prefer Hager then they changed to a different design, of late it seems that niglon (made by hager) are using the old design that i like so that's what i'm using!:D

Wylex everytime. Reason being so, they are so cheap.

10 way dual RCD board and 10 MCB's only ÂŁ60!!!!! An MK like this would be well over ÂŁ100.

The worst board I have ever fitted are Squared D. Bloody awful things.

Company I work for only fits wylex nice simple and plenty of room to work. SquareD don't get me started on them, no room to work and you need about two foot of cable to get to mcb's.

i like to use doepoke boards "can also find them called GET" i find that they are cheap and nasty and that i always get good value for money on call backs due to the customer been stingy in first place..! :D:D

serious note

like to work with Wylex or Hager...!
