hey guys

just want to ask are those one day rewires worth it in terms of money...they seem pretty good to be honest.. yes i know ur a tool and the rest of it.

but like 550 for 1 bed

could be split like this

2 sparks 250 each

mate/labourer 50 quid

and the job can be done in one day. whats ur thoughts i dont mind working extra hours even 10 hours is fine

I used to test the flats rewired, for a company that were done in a day by a three man team, they were absolute lash ups

pvc trunking and singles, using the old embedded conduit where they could

had to have three sockets per room, so in each room they just stuck three doubles next to each other lol

fuse boards were the best entertainment

i quickly became the most unpopular bloke on site!

as long as you got the money in pocket aye mate

550 for a lash up, pattresses over pride, switch it all on if nothing goes bang make up the results and head off for a well deserved sleepless night. Or do a proper job for proper money and let somesome other mug do a backflip for ÂŁ250.

the problen is mate its not as easy as people are saying 'yeah just go and find proper money' as if i can just go and find a rewire to do quoting it all my self

by the word 'find' what do u mean...iv advertised pretty much everywhere asked everysingle builder in my area all taken mate...no rings on the phone either
too many sparks in your area then mate, it would be a good idea to look further afield or look for different work than house bashing.

the Electrical Trainee will be fighting each other over these jobs

I've never advertised, but have found plenty of work.
When I first went self employed I started off doing bits for family and friends who then handed out business cards to all their friends, plus I called a few contacts I had made as an apprentice and let them know I was available.
