I think that everyone should show a scheme membership ID card if they are claiming to belong to one of them. If I go round to quote for a job, one of the things I advise if it's a notifiable job is for the client to make sure any other "quoters" are registered. Often ends in me getting the job as the others turn out to be chancers.
Remember the push many years ago for people to check utility company ID's to prevent conmen gaining entry ?

I always add my membership number and scheme name to my estimates!

OP's gone quiet, maybe he's communting from Woking to Huddersfield today!

Jesus man, like it flippin matters! I dont currently trade yet if you look at other posts (I AM JUST STARTING UP) website isnt advertised anywere but here for people to comment and let me know whats good and bad..

All the posts i put on here are for my mates who need advice, this current job was for my GF's sisters BF, he has sorted the problem and that was a neutral in kitchen socket popped out and both earths out!

Once i start up (IN about 2 weeks after i have been to princess trust to see what they can offer and job centre) the website will be advertised on leaflets, it will be up, i will be NICEIC etc! Some peoples' need to take a well deserved chill pill and mind there own business :) If your going to do some self ''investigation'' then you failed to press my name on the left of my posts and read previous posts which will clearly state a few facts of

What the dole can offer

and for your matter of fact, i was in the hospital my gf got rushed in last night!

-_- :35:

So in the meantime you are advertising something you are not.

Sorry mate, but I'd be leaving the NICEIC off the website until you are registered properly, and this WILL take more than 2 weeks

Will do didnt think it mattered untill i started lol, not taking any jobs on or anything yet

Well I think it matters that you are advertising as an NICEIC contractor and openly admit you are not. It is irrelevant that you are not taking on work - the site is still available for anyone to see as it is on the internet?

Glad to see that you have swiftly removed the logo's from your website, lucky I double checked the website before reporting the infraction to the NICEIC.

You are still showing the NICEIC domestic installer logo under the services section of your webiste. Please remove it.

I am just drawn to this thread. Axel, you may be acting all innocent but it does come across a little naive and unfortunately, the provider won't consider this when bringing action against you!!! I would consider some damage limitation from now on ie remove all notices about scheme membership amongst other things! Leaving it too long will only incur wrath of the popular on here. Good luck either way :)

Sorry Axel, but I can't resist this...:wink_smile:

Otherwise, I couldn't care less how you run your business, entirely down to you.
Good luck with it though! :)
