I fitted some this week that were really good and very fast to install, I would highly recommend them. Not sure what make they were ( think JCC ) as my apprentice un boxed and fitted the led lamps beforehand. But I'll check with my supplier tomorrow.

I've spoken to my supplier this morning and it turns out the GU10's Ive fitted this week are "Saxby" Shows how much attention I paid to the product make lol.

I found them to be a really good product, at a reasonable cost and very simply to install

I prefer the sealed ones. I think the customer likes the fact that there is no lamps to change. I know if it goes wrong i have to change it but i havent had any problems yet (except for one in my own house) :triumph: I also havent experienced any less light output. I suppose its peoples personal preference. It would be a bit boring if everyone liked the same things. :)

Sorry I quickly read your post and got confused with what fittings you meant, so just ignore my first reply else it sounds like I'm talking out my --- lol

The problem for me is you can pick a can and LED lamp up for just over £7 where as an integrated fitting typically range from £15 up to £30 and at the lower range in price typically you have to purchase a bezel on top. Say a 4 bed new build has 50 down lights at the lower end of price for integrated fittings that's £750 which you may have to purchase a bezel at £2 each bringing them in at £850 where 50 cans and LED lamps could be picked up for £350. A difference of £500 is a lot of money IMO. I think I will carry on with cans and lamps until the price of reputable branded integrated fittings come down to around £10 all in.

Totally agree.
That £500 might be the difference between getting the job or not.
Me personally I always quote for things that will save me time.
A can and Led might be say £12 all in. But then to 2nd fix you might need flex and in line junction box at extra cost which then pushes the price towards the £20 mark. Add in the extra labour time as well.
I think it totally depends on the job and specifications.

The last few jobs Ive been using aurora enlite cans but the terminal space etc is rubbish. As suggested earlier I'm going to try Ansell Icage downlights, the terminal cover looks a decent size.Im pricing 14 4bed detached houses atm and that would equate to 7K extra!
