I fitted some this week that were really good and very fast to install, I would highly recommend them. Not sure what make they were ( think JCC ) as my apprentice un boxed and fitted the led lamps beforehand. But I'll check with my supplier tomorrow.Does anyone know what brands make downlights wit push fit connections? looking for speed when it comes to fitting them 2 x 1.0mm cables. I prefer the "cans and lamp" those sealed units don't look as good, don't give off as much light and the one's Ive had experience with fill up with dust inside. What do people prefer, the "cans and lamps" type or the sealed units?

Sealed unit for me every time now. Cans and led GU10 only if the job needs to be super budget spec.
Sorry I quickly read your post and got confused with what fittings you meant, so just ignore my first reply else it sounds like I'm talking out my --- lolI prefer the sealed ones. I think the customer likes the fact that there is no lamps to change. I know if it goes wrong i have to change it but i havent had any problems yet (except for one in my own house) I also havent experienced any less light output. I suppose its peoples personal preference. It would be a bit boring if everyone liked the same things.
The problem for me is you can pick a can and LED lamp up for just over ÂŁ7 where as an integrated fitting typically range from ÂŁ15 up to ÂŁ30 and at the lower range in price typically you have to purchase a bezel on top. Say a 4 bed new build has 50 down lights at the lower end of price for integrated fittings that's ÂŁ750 which you may have to purchase a bezel at ÂŁ2 each bringing them in at ÂŁ850 where 50 cans and LED lamps could be picked up for ÂŁ350. A difference of ÂŁ500 is a lot of money IMO. I think I will carry on with cans and lamps until the price of reputable branded integrated fittings come down to around ÂŁ10 all in.
Totally agree.
That ÂŁ500 might be the difference between getting the job or not.
Me personally I always quote for things that will save me time.
A can and Led might be say ÂŁ12 all in. But then to 2nd fix you might need flex and in line junction box at extra cost which then pushes the price towards the ÂŁ20 mark. Add in the extra labour time as well.
I think it totally depends on the job and specifications.
