hi there

after a lil advice re overhead supply to an out building. The outbuilding is no more than 1.8 meters from the house surrounded by a tarmaced drive and concrete paving (hence overhead route). Maximum height is 2.6 meters from point to point entry, which i know is below the 3 m minimium requirements but common sense must be appplied, i intend to supply via conduit. Now the regulations state the use of steel conduit but do not mention if PVC conduit can be used. Now i understand the reasoning for steel conduit to provide impact protection. i was wondering if anybody had any thoughts or advise re using PVC conduit for this short run where due to location there are no impact risks.

many thanks

thanks for your replies guys i checked the regs to check minimum height as i thought id be a little low but was not sure if PVC could be used as regulations state steel conduit. either way is easy enough just have to earth the conduit if i have to use galve
