NOT useless at all ..... I used it to great effect to pi$$ off my ex in-laws who were very strict Methodists and who thought I - a beer-swilling, illegal substance smoking, agnostic Rock 'n' Roll band member - wasn't good enough for their Sunday School Teacher daughter. :devil2:

Likewise. Yet as a vocal atheist I am more likely to be in a position where I have to defend my opinions than an agnostic might. RE is important - but it is truly bizarre that it was taught to me as if it were as real as maths or science.

I have all the qualifications I need and plenty more that I don't. Not that it matters. Some of the best tradesmen I have ever met have virtually no qualifications at all. The most knowledgeble spark I have ever met has zero 'qualifications'.

The inevitable corollary point is that I know plenty of 'qualified' sparks that are, frankly, dangerous. And I really do mean plenty.
