HI all,

can someone tell me what the R1&R2 reading on 100mtrs of 2.5mm would be

and has anyone got a table for working it out, been years since doing it but why do i remember 0.07 in my head, remember someone telliing me to think of james bond but cant seem to think why.

i assume there is a table somewhere in the big green book, but not getting my hands on it until the weekend

So why does linearity go to pot at 30m?
(For all combinations of csa)

Because it's not a linear scale - the first 30m's are in 5m intervals, thereafter in 10's ('cos that's kinda how the real world works)
 
nice graph. i use this. posted ages ago on this very forum.

Hmmm...that's a change of scale at some point along the axis, arguably bad practice, misleading at best!
If you do change scale, there should be clear indication at the occurrence on the graph itself, not just the values on the axis.

Have you never looked at the time/current graphs in the BGB, then? They do exactly the same. There is a proper term for it but I can't currently remember what it is!

It's a logarithmic scale.... allows them to fit much higher values without having a riduculously large graph.

As Croney correctly points out, they are non linear scaled graphs.
On a linear scale, your BGB would probably have to be 2 or 3 miles long.
Re Your R v L graph: that x axis scaling would be shot down in flames in the real world!

This IS the real world...........[waits with fire extinguisher in hand].

Seriously though, I'm not sure quite why you think this is a big deal? It's just giving slightly better resolution at more common domestic lengths - 1 to 30m. I guess if I made it go 1,2,3,4,5,10,15,20,25,30,40,50,100,150 you'd just panic completely?? ;)
