Have a nice break and maybe when your ban expires you have a better attitude.

Can you not make it permanent an attitude like his needs a proper slap

Unfortunately this is the attitude of a lot of the apprentices now days, it takes me to breaking point! Had 2 working with me today with there I pods on I thought I was in a rave at one point, needless to say I pods are banned tomorrow !

The mobile phone is another point of contention with me they have more interest in sending and receiving texts than working I know that these contracts give you ridiculous numbers of texts and some think they have to use them all to get the best value but there comes a point when it's difficult to suppress the urge to reach for the lump hammer

rightly so, they are there to learn not listen to music, very rude to do that especially when guys are trying to talk to you

im an aprentice and yes i do put radio/headphones on/in occationally but then im often left with a task and to get on with it

Given the volume some people have their Ipods at there could be a case for ear protection to be worn as the decibel level is beyond safe limits on site

not all work is on a site. quite often locked in room etc with key im my pocket.

besides we do a lot of bms which is mindless sometimes.

and dont usually listen to music etc when wondering around site etc as thats just stupied especially as a lot of stuff has been rushed/bodged to meet unrealistic deadlines

The site radio is one thing where you can still be aware of what's going on around you but locked in a room in your own little isolated ipod world sounds potentially dangerous to me
