That's good mate and hopefully in return they will stay loyal to you through both the good and bad times.

I never had any security for years as a subbie. I do not want to pass on that poor practice to the next generation.

id say nay bother, plastic or metal conduit?

i was dragged up at work on controls and metalic containment.

im tempted to go and live up near some relatives in scotland, seems i have had a more varied training than a lot of supposedly time served sparks.

now i will be classed as a time served because i did 2330 then 2357 through an aprentaship but at the end of it i will have been on the tools just less than 3 years (did months of work experience while i was at college)

Your be demanding top dollar in the not so distance future by the sounds of it and will deserve it

Keep the faith. I innocently signed up for a Electrical Trainee course! A fancy EAL Certificate with a lovely hologram on! I'm now studying C&G 2365.
An apprenticeship would be a bonus but we have to make the best of what we have.

My first subbing job was to a Electrical Trainee and he couldn't terminate SWA. He had to get one of the guys to do it so I guess they dont.

Not entirely sure Im allowed to use the term "Electrical Trainee" considering my course only lasted 2 years and you're (on paper) an Electrician. Said it before. Say it again.

Learnt more hands on in 2 weeks then 2 years in college.

We don't pay train fares in Manchester! 

I know!!
