RCD protection is not required, unless any of the appliances supplied are mobile and to be used outdoors.
Additional protection (excluding RCDs) will be required for the cables run through joists.
i.e. hole for the cables at a depth greater than 50mm, metal plate over any notches or holes less than 50mm, cable with an earthed metallic sheath, etc.

You might want to check if PVC/PVC cables are suitable for Churches, seem to recall there are certain rules regarding Churches, could be wrong but worth checking, was this work designed and planned prior to 2019?

Pete, I think it only matters if the church in question is listed, I've worked on a couple in the past where one was and one wasn't so yes the op needs to know which it is.

OK, thanks, but a reply from OP would be nice agreeing or disagreeing makes no difference,
The OP is currently Offline, so perhaps I'm a tad premature in my post, but hey Hoh, never mind worse things happen at sea.

I was just trying to get involved in the thread Pete, I'll keep my gob shut from now on and stick to Admin duties.

Apologies for the massively late reply!
Been doing 7 days for almost 3 months now so don't get much time for anything else!

Church is not listed, and plans were created in mid 2018, so those regs do not apply. Appreciate the info though, was not aware and will definitely come in handy in the future.

Job has been finished off and no RCDs installed.
Thanks for all the info guys, love reading and learning on this forum from people that have been in the game for a lot longer than myself!
