Discuss RCD protection on a second distribution unit in work shed in the Electrical Wiring, Theories and Regulations area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi

there is two ways to install to shed as bruce lee has stated or use tt stake nr shed if using tt system do not connect any earth from the origin ( db1 ) into ( db2 ) just terminate the earths into a enclosure and then run 10mm from stake to (db2 ) and terminate into eath bar ,both ways are correct but if you exporting a earth ( cpc ) from origin over a long distance using a earth stake is the prefered method

hope that helps

Rich

At that sort of distance probs not a lot to choose pricewise as to whether you export earth or TT as long as you are not having to run a protective bond as well :)
