Ex-chef,what made you want to become a spark.

had been in building game part time as cheffin is crap money, i always excelled at electrics and plumbing, crap at carpentry, i had a natural understanding and talent for electrics so i enrolled at college, i passed my 2391 and 17th in my first 3 months and became a Dom installer, im just starting on 2330 level 3, i only do smallish commercial work and tend to leave the industrial stuff alone.

Gave my life to cooking, i worked for marco pierre white and the roux brothers, i worked aboard the aurora and cooked for royalty, worked on some of the most high profile events.

In the end i gave so much of me i hated it so i made the change, i have never looked back

Good on yer mate, how easy did you find the 2391.Want to do it myself, lack of testing.

Someone with your knowlege shouldnt have a problem, just learn the testing routines and memorise all the H&S side and you should be fine.

Simple things like provins supplies/ test equipment and not leaving live conductors open as a hazard, and any other EAW points

i did mine courtesy of the NICEIC and found it to be both value for money and informative and it was dispensed with in 5 days.

I found this to be a better route than doing the DISQ qualification for part p as instead of 4 days of skimming through everything i spend the extra money and did 2391 and obviously went in to much greater detail and then the 2382 17th was 5 days so obviously we went into a lot more detail

I did look at their website today and it looked very good.

Hi all
thanks for the replies
the two sockets will be in the kitchen one for the f/freezer and one for general use
the wiring will be surface
i was thinking of fitting a radial but she wants them priced separately
two radials seems a bit excessive
john

No probs mate, I would quote for 1 being a spur and the furthest away quote seperatly as a extension to the spur turning it into a radial
