Afternoon Chaps .

Just a quickie lol. Can you verify that you do not need to install a RCD in a flat on the 12th floor of a hi rise block.. Thanks guys

It must be a wind-up?

What if it was on the Moon, we could have moon loop impedance, main moon bonding, cpc moon wire, moon sleeving, sorry to much red stuff, had a bad day, got another bad day tomorrow, probably got a bad day on Wednesday, I'm a miserable git ain't I?

I got a recomendation from someone i have worked for and the people that have bought this flat (cheap) have been told by the seller etc that its not required as you cannot run a lead to the outside.Infact its on the PIR that they have had done which actually looks like a DIY job . When i said its a pile of rubbish they want something that they can go back to the seller with and get the cost back. your responses are just the ticket.work wisae is a new ccu . bonding , and socket replacement and new ceiling roses . as the old ones have still got braided twisted flexs on connected to newer roses, couldnt see the point bh . its just as easy to replace the lot.
thanks

Sorry have I missed something here! Do you not own a copy of the reg's? You have been on this site 4yrs as a spark and ask a question that is easily looked up in the big green soon to be yellow book. IMHO you should be creating this thread showing your amusement at what you have come across been told, I find it a little unsettling that a practicing Electrician asked it as a question - RCD protection and the requirements for it should be drummed in as basic knowledge by now tbh.
