my luck would be the nearest supplier is 20 miles away and got no 16A or 20A on board.

i carry a large assortment of equipment that come in very handy in emergencies.

at my emergency job yesterday pulled front cover from board and found that all wiring was run in 2.5. kitchen radial circuit was on a 45 amp breaker! and gf sockets were on a radial on 32 amp breaker.

replaced them immediately for a 16 amp breakers. when ever i use something like that i make a quick note on my blackberry to replace van materials

very proud of the set up in my van. will have to post a pic, i never get unnecessary call backs

You must be minted with a wholesalers in your van....

lol... it is a bit over the top but like i said always prepared. 25mm tails,16mm tails, earth blocks, henly blocks, intermediate swtiches, jbs off cuts of cables, surface boxes , spurs, sockets, batteries etct etcctc etc etc

i do carry a box full of MCBs but always have a surplus of 32A. sod's law says i've got all except the one i want. try and ascertain breakdown jobs on phone as close as poss. so as to pick up whatever bits i think i might need. never can be too sure though. my post " yipee ", went to 3 sockets and 3 or 4 lights not working. took 5 S/O, 5 pendants, 4 2way switches, part rolls of T/E, 10 mins on site, condemned installation, starting rewire monday.

Thanks for replies guys.

Thinking of -

Shed feed - radial
cooker - radial
shower - radial
boiler - radial
intruder alarm - radial
smokes - radial
electric fire - radial
smokes - radial
down lights - radial
up lights - radial
fridge - radial
w / machine - radial
Kitchen sockets - radial
down ring (hall, living room, dining room and conservatory) may do 32A 4mm radial
up radial 1 (2 beds)
up radial 2 (1 bed and hall)

16 circuits - do you think it looks ok, or is it a bit of overkill. Thinking of putting a 16 way hager board in but was always taught to leave spare ways, but do you think a full 16 way will be ok.

Want to use this for napit assessment.

Thanks

Craig

think , whilst the above looks good, it is a bit of overkill. why 2 smokes radials? i would put the smokes on 1 of the lighting circuits, giving you 2 spare ways. then put perhaps the alarm and boiler on 1 radial ( they're each only 3A fused ), giving you 1 more spare. then upstairs as a ring final, another 1 spare, so 12 circuits.

depends how busy your house is and what loads you'l have, id say looks fine. minimum disruption and mimimumer;) if rcbos

people talk about high integrity boards could someone elabarate on this as i dont know

i=p/u. a hoigh integrity board is a dual RCD board, as you are used to, but with an additional 1 or 2 way added neutral bar, non RCD< so you can have 1 or 2 non RCD circiuts ( eg. for a shed feed, or a freezer)
