reg 433.3.3 and reg 434.3

hi guys,

why would reg 433.3.3 and reg 434.3 have different cirumstances were disconnection is not wanted. I know one is for overcurrent and the other for fault current, but surely they all have the same cirmustances were we would not want disconnection.

Think about what overcurrent protection is for and what it protects against, then consider what danger a fault condition could create...

434 - Protection against Fault current

Ask yourself, what is the difference between the two and what is likely to cause these two factors in a circuit.
