Does the electric main supply need to be completely taken off to apply a waterproof membrane or can this this be painted around and still maintain the integrity of the waterproofing?
 
What are you waterproofing? Is this for tiling? Wrong forum if so you need www.tilersforums.com

If its something electric I've not come across this (I'm not a sparky)
It could be for waterproofing or tanking a cellar / basement quite common in older properties to have the main incomer in the cellar usually on a fragile board that has succumbed to the damp and seen better days

Yeah it was a thread made by an unregistered user. It prompts them to sign in to post but they can ignore that bit.

Problem is they never know when a reply has come and once it's not in the new posts list they will never find it.

Doesn't happen often so I'm not too fussed but it is annoying.
