Doing some alteration to my lounge and have just moved a doorway, obviously I now have to move the light switch too. At the moment the 1 gang dimmer switch operates both the ceiling light and 2 wall lights but I wish to control both lights independently.

Is it as easy as fitting a 2 gang switch with a new cable from the wall lights?

Thanks in anticipation

Hi, from wat I have read n can uderstand, you have goty your lights wired in 3 plate, so you will have feed into your ceiling lights ( L,N,E) then you will have a twin dwn to sw which is feed to switch n switch wire bak up, the sw bak up will be connected to the flex on a ceiling pendant depending on fitting, then u will have twin out of there to your wall lights ( N to N) and ya earths, but your red/brown which is your feed to wall lights is connected with sw of ceiling lights so that wants connecting with your other red/brown this will give u a feed to wall lights then the other twin (new twin from sw) wants joining out with it so your browns/reds want connecting togeather then the black/blue out of your sw wants connecting into you L terminal then bak at your sw u will have 2 comms n 2 L1's, you wanna connect brown/red from ceiling lights into 1 of the comms with the other cable out of the same twin into L1 and same with other to other gang, that's just 1 way of doin it, let us knw how u get on
