You can now erase your own account. You'll get a 3-day cooling off period, and a reminder 2 days in. Other than that, it'll get erased. Each time you log back in it'll reset.

Obviously it's not something we want to encourage, but we're certainly not going to ask anybody to stay when they want to leave.

Just be sure you've made your mind up.

To be clear, this removes your email, your password, any connected accounts (facebook, twitter, google etc) and will change your username in the posts you've contributed to the forum to something other than your own.

If you have personal details (like your phone number) in posts and you want them removed, you'll need to manually report each one so we can remove and / or edit those.

We don't remove all content you've contributed to the forum. Just to be clear.

I'm retired now. I've previously tried to delete my account which I think succeeded but I still get emails from you although the account seems to have gone. Email address starts with kcs15 if that helps you find it

Reply to one of the emails for me. It's me they go to. Your account can't be missing as we don't have a separate email newsletter or anything. If you're getting email you have an account active. Just reply to one saying delete this account
