switched on

i come across a rewireable fuseboard but with an rcd in-line before the installation is this ok as it is all rcd protected and the rewireable fuses do do the overload protection. I did replace but just incase a discussion come about this was wandering what the real score is thanks in advance

There is no requirement to upgrade a con unit with BS 3036 rewirable fuse as for the RCD upfront this would also be acceptible to leave in place.

This is what i thought i couldn't see anything wrong just wanted to really ensure myself about this. Thanks for your advice

if anyone disagrees please let me know

Existing installation to previous editions of regs 16th and below = YES OK

New installation / Upgraded Installation to 17th = NOT REALLY and 1 rcd should not protect all circuits..! blah blah blah etc...!

but if customer dont want to pay to upgrade and you do work then bonus is that you have RCD protection at least any way! 1 RCD is better than 0 RCD
