Ring circuit question

Hi, first post.

I was hoping for some advice. I have just brought a property and the electrical side needs updating. I have one ring main for the whole property, so why I am doing up the kitchen I have decided to put a separate ring main in for the kitchen, my issue is what should I do with the existing sockets in the room? should I put a blank faceplate on them? I am not sure how I can separate them from the existing ring main circuit, and utilise them in the new kitchen circuit without causing issues to the existing ring circuit.

Apologies to Murdoch for answering, but I think what M is getting at, is, not many Electricians will sign off on work that they haven't done or been involved in, after all it will be their name on the cert, not yours, hope I have read your thoughts correctly M.

Doe's it need to be signed off by an electrician or can it just be a building inspector?

Local Aurhority Building Control have to be notified of details of a "Part P" job BEFORE the commencement of the job starting.

As per my previous response, best you speak to these people first, rather than relying on some faceless internet responders.

And don't be surprised when sparks decline to come and test your work .................... I never test DIY or Bob the Builder work.
