Hi,

I've recently had a storage heater installed. This was installed in a location that didn't have an off-peak supply.

After some investigation, the electrician moved some wires in the fuse box, to make one of the plugs an off-peak supply. However, this has now impacted: 1 x towel heater in the bathroom, 1 x plug in the living room, and 1 x plug in the 2nd bedroom. These only work during off-peak hours.

I am initially trying to work out whether that means that these are on a ring or radial circuit.

Secondly, I am trying to work out how to fix the issue.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Agree with all the previous comments. "Is it safe?" Your own investigative work sounds promising. However that your previous electrician converted an existing socket and its supply cable to an off-peak tariff without then checking what else on the circuit was affected is very unusual. Plus the fact he is no longer available/contactable a few months after doing the work. They are the aspects that might raise some questions in my mind. Think it's wise you are getting a qualified electrician in to check things over

There are in fact so many possibilities it is entirely a guess answering the question. But the answer is that if an entire ring moved from one board to the other, as per your guess, and making other assumptions about it being wired in a common way, then that would be likely to be safe. If there is a fuse/breaker that doesn’t seem to do anything on the old board or a new space then that would support the guess that a whole circuit moved.
Now we're talking.
It's all assumption with a lot of guesswork. I wouldn't like to presume anything without a visit to site and ascertaining exactly what's going on..

Yes exactly I used to install a lot of dual tariff storage heaters and I sometimes flipped a radial 24 hour supply over to the off peak I tested that circuit prior but sometimes that was more beneficial and less time consuming than running new supply to that location. You need to get a spark in to clarify what the installer has done. No good slating him on here untill you fully understand what he has done.
