safety footwear and VAT

Its correct, trainers aren't boots - boots are exempt, but only if they've been approved and marked.

another vat con is that children's clothing is vat zero.... bollox. when my lad was 9, his sock and shoes were 15% vat, as he was size 5 in shoes.

I had the same at that age, yet my cousin who is in her 30's buys childrens clothes/shoes VAT free to this day.
