Hey guys,

got a job to so but the incoming supply head needs attention, the neutral is fused and the the earth is connected via a bonding clamp!

Anyway the local dno is Scottish power, just wondered what is the best number to call to get this sorted ASAP?

thanks!

I think you might have some luck, but never count your electrons before they are mobile, calling the telephone line for disconnections and moving equipment (0845 270 0785) at least you may not be on to a total nothing who does not understand, but you never know.

You will need luck (and time) (and the customer).:dizzy2:

Be Warned SP are starting to fine sparks who cut the seals , SP charge ÂŁ85 for an isolator , which i was quite strongly informed was a hell of a lot cheaper than the fine , oh and if the cant fine the spark they will fine the customer so not to good for trade

This is effing outrageous - no different to a gas supplier installing a meter with no means of isolation!!!!!!!!......When is this ridiculous situation going to get sorted????

If it's fuse wire as mentioned above then it is probably a double pole fused cutout (ie, l and n fuses)
This was normal practice in years gone by, and in rare circumstances you may still find cutouts and even fuseboard a with both l and n fuses.
