Security on an empty property

Just been given the job of rewiring an empty house.I usually take my tools home each night, but was looking at leaving them on site. Was looking for a system using cctv over a mobile network that would go to my phone if some one get in during the time its empty. Any one done this sort of thing?

The Time you get an alert on movement around the area where the tools are they will be gone. Take your tools away with you at night.

Sounds extreme but I take my valuable stuff in from my van at night into my house. Saves the Agro... I have been stolen from too many times to get complacent.

plumber i worked with was literally taking tools as i laid them down, had to rake them out of his toolbox, weegie and a plumber...

not worth the risk, it was quite common to leave keys in the van round the countryside, soon stopped doing that when the joiners van got nicked lol, stop being lazy and just ut your tools in your van, you wont have to worry about some scrote nicking ur gear

Agree with the above, the cameras aren't going to help - unless you want the added pain of watching them stealing your tools!

guy i went to college with had to memorise his wingspan for measuring out cable to the exact cm.

not because he wanted to but because his boss was a penny pinching lout, probably got a rustlers burger and a glass of water for his xmas do.
