In this role, you'll play a crucial part in maintaining and improving the infrastructure of the prison, ensuring its safe and efficient operation.

The Ideal Candidate:

Essential:

• Successful completion of a City & Guilds, ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering.
• Successful completion an electrician apprenticeship or have equivalent experience working as an electrician.
• Understanding and knowledge of I.E.E. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• It is desirable that you are an Electrically Authorised Person (AP) but training for this can be obtained through this role.

Desirable Skills/Competencies:

• High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate within a team or as an individual where required.
• Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving work environment.
• Proven problem-solving capabilities to address challenges and obstacles effectively.
• Resilient and able to handle pressure while maintaining a positive outlook.

£30k ? If the operative is working 40 hours a week they are getting an hourly rate of....£14.50ish per hour. I suspect it may take a while to fill this position at the advertised rate.
I am not being rude about the rate, just being realistic. I do not know anybody who is a qualified electrician who is working for that low an hourly rate.
