Hi have a situation have wylex 4 module metal clad consumer , RCD, 32mcb and 6 MCB, trouble is main consumer no where near the back of house and all fancy flooring, there is a shower supply 6mm upstairs on a 32 mcb in the consumer , its an old GE series consumer unit and the shower on the 32 is not RCD protected, only the ring is, which they will not be needing anymore, was thinking of connecting this to the swa 6mm in a box then run swa out to shed 70 ft run , any ideas here thanks

guys i need help wiring a shed, one guy is telling me to use belwire the other guy is saying 70mm HELP

ow its 250m from supply and 50 lights

XD

you need rcd on the twin because its less than 50mm in wall, any new circuit/change of use would require bringing upto the latest regs.

otherwise

the servive head is from 1920 so no need for rcd's at all and zones dont matter?

only like for like swaps dont need bringing up to latest regs e.g. swapping socket fronts etc

Wouldn't it be easier to ask one of the polictal parties to propose banning sheds in their next manifesto? Conservatives could say ban sheds, only garages are allowed. Labour, ban sheds only pigeon lofts are allowed and UKIP, ban sheds, only bunkers are allowed?

I know just the person to lead your new political campaign. BAS of DIYNot, he make Georing’s policies seem reasonable.

Just don’t invite him here or anywhere else!
