Should the original installer pay to fix this?

I am getting more and more work on the EV front now, Called today by a customer, told the charger keeps tripping out during a charge. typically an hour or so in. Been happening on and off for last year, but last month or so, Been happening every other night when charging.
He had called the national firm who installed it, but its 6 months out of the 3 year warranty.
Turn up, cover off, and found cause, loose neutral and burning on RCBO and neutral cable that feeds the charger via 2 core swa.
Almost certainly caused by poor termination and tightening of the cable.
A part of me thinks the people who fitted it should have to pay for the remedial's, even if out of the 3 year OLEV warranty, as its 99.9% down to poor workmanship in my view having seen that the wires on the outgoing mcb in the house were loose aswell!. Although I dont hold out much hope of them paying.
Have ordered a replacement RCBO to fit and will re-terminate and test as if new install. So not a huge job to put right.

Maybe also get the customer to tell the installer that if it's not payed for them he will post the pic up on Facebook/Instagram with the installer company name stating the poor quality of the install.

Don’t know the full story but it doesn’t look that shoddy to me not the neatest but no way dangerous.

Yes agreeed that a loose neutral caused the fault but it must be over the 3 years old as you state it’s out of the 3 year warranty so I don’t think it’s right to go slating the company via Facebook just because of a slight fault. People these days are far too quick to hit Facebook.

Fix the fault send the customer your invoice And get paid job done

If the owner had contacted the original installation mob to fix, what would have happened?
In my world I would likely pay for parts and labour to fix for good will. And kicked myself.
