EICR observation - Electric shower does not have an isolator (pull cord or switch). Circuit can be isolated and locked off in the consumer unit which is in the nearby airing cupboard. (This is 1st floor flat).

Is there a reg that says a shower should have a local isolator?

snow showers in cheshire atm. pink floyd on the stereo, old peciliuer in the glass. me happy .
Now we are talking man. Went to a Rory Gallagher tribute the other night, OP on tap, fantastic. Felt B****y awful next morning, nothing like a hangover and deaf as a post as well..........
Sorted the loft out the other day, found a copy of Piper at the Gates of Dawn??

woow. PF's first album. i have one as well. pure class.
I found loads I had forgotten about! All Sabbaths, Zeps, Who, PF, Dylan, Groundhogs, Bowie, Free, Focus, Cream..loads. I am thinking of getting an old SP25 MK(5?) to play them though my old Quad amp and Wharfs. Oh, and a signed copy of Bad reputation, the crown jewels!

The original poster seemed to ask a perfectly posed question on an electricians help forum. He has , however received the the , not unusual for here , holier than thou response. Is this place filled with people who only go by the book to the exact letter?

On topic, I think the answer is it is a c3 , where as bad practice, not advised but not life threading on its own .
Hope that helps , it's only my opinion , which I think is what you were looking for.
I hope nobody ever dares to travel at 35 mph in a 30 zone , that would be unforgivable.

Bs 537.1.3 does state that in a single phase domestic property used by ordinary persons the isolation should be double pole as to break both live conductors, hope that helps

I replaced my DP heater switch with a CP Electronics MRT-PRM Series multi range time delay switch.
It only switches the live. Does that mean it against the regs?
Somehow, I feel CP Electronics (being an established firm) should know and not sell this product if it's against the regs. They specifically state it can be used for heaters. Any thoughts? Thanks.

you still have D/P isolation if needed at the CU.

It would be quite dangerous as well, specially in a 30mph zone.
