Single word.............. NO

All you end up doing is making the job yours, therefore better make sure its done well. Could come back and bite you as an annual assessment job!!!

NO NO NO you can not sign off other work as a part p installer,, as stated above if you are a full niceic then you can sign off other work ,

part p was brought in to stop you signing off work,,

when your firm become registered you can register the electricians who work for you under your scheme so that they can sign off the jobs that they do

but technically you cannot register someone elses job, of course there is nothing to stop you doing this, but it would mean you would be claiming that you had done the job

................of course there is nothing to stop you doing this, but it would mean you would be claiming that you had done the job

Thats kind of what I was getting at with my first post. If you sign, basically you are saying you did the work and therefore liable for its safety........

Here lies my biggest irritation with the Niceic
They use the Qs system, which was intended for approved contractors with a large workforce on largish jobs
That system was and still is abused

They then have the nerve to introduce that criminal system into their domestic installer scheme

The problem that it creates,is a one man qualified domestic installer employing many unskilled operatives and oversigining that unskilled work

Part p was meant to provide self (individual certification) the Niceic has manipulated the scheme to continue with the crimnal Qs system and will probably be forced by the government to change its ways

So to the op,yes you can oversign others work,as long as you are Niceic and they are your employees or sub contractors

The government are very concerned of the abuse that is, or may be, happening with that system. that it will more than likely force a change

Part P brought in to stop you signing off work???? What?
Question was about Part P and signing off! Not if you was niceic approved or a niceic domestic installer.

NO you cannot sign off another electricians work if he is not employed by your companiy

Approved contractors will have a nominated Q.M who will be resonsible for the certification of that companies installations
