Why waste money on so-called 'professional' signwriting when you can achieve the same effect for a fraction of the cost by doing it yourself...

saw a nicely lettered up van today. the highlight was "dyson engineer". FFS , how is a vacuum cleaner repair man an engineer.

I grabbed some of these off the web:

  • Beverage Dissemination Officer - Barman
  • Colour Distribution Technician - Painter & Decorator
  • Customer Experience Enhancement Consultant - Shop Assistant
  • Domestic Technician - Housewife
  • Education Centre Nourishment Consultant - Dinner Lady
  • Highway Environmental Hygienist - Road Sweeper
  • Field Nourishment Consultant - Waitress
  • Five a Day Collection Operative - Fruit Picker
  • Front Line Customer Support Facilitator - Call Centre Worker
  • Gastronomical Hygiene Technician - Dish Washer
  • Mass Production Engineer - Factory Worker
  • Media Distribution Officer - Paper Boy
  • Mobile Sustenance Facilitator - Burger Van Worker
  • Mortar Logistics Engineer - Labourer
  • Petroleum Transfer Engineer - Petrol Station Assistant
  • Recycling Operative - Bin Man
  • Sanitation Consultant - Toilet Cleaner
At one time an officer was a policeman or high ranking member of the armed forces with a commission, an engineer was a professional person with an engineering degree, and the person washing the dishes in a hotel was the washer-up, back in the days when people were in no doubt as to what their job was, instead of being encouraged to get ideas above their station, ie 'jobsworths'.
Imagine a young lad's disappointment after getting through school never failing at anything, being made to feel like he's something special, fast-tracking into his first job as a Gastronomical Hygiene Technician, then being told his main duty is to scrape plates and wash up.
