Just been back to a job that I upgraded the DB in and water bonding in November to find the plumber that's fitted a new boiler has cut my bonding to the water main. Now I've got to run the whole lot again FFS.

I reckon that is you Biff, it is a seaside town thats for sure pmsl
the pier says Clacton......
;-)
i'd use a non-insulated butt crimp and cover with a bit of gn/y heat shrink. i'd probably forget to slide the h/s on first and have to cut and re-crimp, thought.
...Know what yer mean...i do it all the time, put me crash-helmet on,and realise i've forgot me polo-neck jumper :conehead:not nearly as many times as i've wired up a flex and lighting click plug to realise i've not slid the domed cover on first....
im a clutz.
;-)
through crimps are made of copperbecause he crimps then solders, in that case it is a waste of solder.
if i crimp a cable they are tight together then solder to hold it together.
much better readings than using a steel through crimp
the solder just holds it together and your not moving it when the solder cools
